Account and game data
Arenium is an online RPG operated by the Arenium team at areniumonline.com. We process information you provide and records needed to operate the service.
- Account: your chosen name, email address, creation date and sign-in information. Password-based registration stores a password hash to verify sign-ins.
- Game: characters, progress, inventory, battles, rankings, guilds and messages sent through game features.
- Usage and security: IP addresses and technical request and activity records used for troubleshooting, moderation and abuse prevention.
- Contact: information you provide when requesting support or exercising rights over your data.
How we use your data
We use this information to create and manage accounts, authenticate sign-ins, save progress, provide game features, respond to requests and protect the service. When email delivery is available, your account email may also receive registration confirmation and password recovery messages.
Processing needed to provide the game relates to delivering the service you request. Security records support service protection and fraud prevention. Legal obligations and consent, when required for an optional feature, may provide the basis for other specific processing.
Google and Discord sign-in
If you choose Sign in with Google, we request only openid, email and profile. We receive your Google account identifier, name, email address and confirmation that the email is verified. This information identifies, creates or connects your Arenium account.
Google sign-in does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or other account content. Tokens are validated during sign-in; Arenium does not persist Google access tokens. Identity information obtained through this flow is not used for advertising.
Optional Discord sign-in uses your Discord identifier, name and verified email for the same purpose. You choose to connect a provider to your account; matching email addresses do not automatically connect an existing password-based account.
Cookies and Google services
We use cookies to maintain your signed-in session and remember your chosen language. Game features may also store local browser preferences. Blocking session cookies may prevent sign-in.
Some pages use Google Ads tags to measure campaigns and conversions. These services may process browser information, IP addresses, cookies and identifiers according to browser and Google service settings. Fonts loaded from Google's servers also create a connection between your browser and that provider.
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings and adjust your Google account's advertising preferences. This privacy page does not load advertising tags or external fonts.
Sharing and public information
Infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services, support hosting, storage and, when enabled, transactional email delivery. Google and Discord participate in the services described here when used. These providers may process information in other countries according to their infrastructure and services.
Character names, rankings, guilds and content you publish in interaction areas may be visible to other players. Email addresses and sign-in credentials are not part of the public presentation of rankings and profiles.
The team responsible for operations and moderation can access information needed for that work. Information may also be disclosed to meet a legal obligation or protect rights in response to a valid request.
Security and retention
The production website uses HTTPS. Registration passwords are stored as hashes, and access to administration and service data is controlled. We keep records and backups to operate and recover the game.
We retain information for as long as needed for the stated purposes. Deletion or anonymization requests are assessed in light of account data, legal obligations, abuse prevention and the protection of rights. Backups follow their rotation cycle and may remain until replaced or expired.
Your rights and choices
Under applicable law, you may request confirmation and access, correction, information about sharing, portability, anonymization or deletion, and object to processing or withdraw consent where these rights apply.
To exercise these rights or request account deletion, contact the email address below. We may request information to verify that the request belongs to the account holder before providing or changing data.
You can also remove Arenium's authorization in your Google or Discord account settings. Removing that authorization does not automatically delete your Arenium account or progress; deletion can be requested separately.
Policy updates
Changes to data processing or game features may require updates to this policy. The current version is published on this page with its last-updated date.
